In short: MyCheshbon helps you plan and track your money. You stay in charge of your decisions. Try it free for 30 days; after that it’s a monthly or yearly subscription you can cancel any time.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using MyCheshbon (the website, app, text messages and call-in line), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. MyCheshbon is operated by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”). You must be 18 or older to open an account.

2. What MyCheshbon is, and isn’t

MyCheshbon is a tool to plan and track your household budget, maaser, Yom Tov, simchas, tuition and loans. It is not a bank, and it is not financial, tax, legal or halachic advice. Maaser amounts are calculated from the settings you choose; for questions of halacha, ask your rav. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for checking the numbers you rely on.

3. Your account

Give accurate information and keep your password private.
You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including people you invite to your household.
Tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account.

4. Free trial, plans and billing

Free trial: new accounts get 30 days free. No card is needed to start.
Plans: Basic, Plus and Deluxe, billed monthly or yearly at the prices shown when you sign up. Prices may include sales tax where required.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
Cancelling: cancel any time in Settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds: monthly payments aren’t refunded. If you cancel a yearly plan within 14 days of being charged, we’ll refund it in full. [CONFIRM REFUND POLICY]
Price changes: we’ll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you.
Failed payments: if a payment fails and isn’t fixed, your account may become read-only until it is.

5. Referrals

Invite rewards have the conditions shown with them. Referral rewards are for inviting other households; inviting yourself or using fake accounts is not allowed, and rewards gained that way may be removed.

6. Bank connections, texts and calls

Bank connections are optional and provided through a third-party service. Bank data can be delayed or missing; MyCheshbon can only show what the bank sends.
Text messages: by adding your number you agree to receive texts you ask for. Message and data rates from your phone company may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help.
Call-in line: works only from phone numbers on your account. The text and call-in lines are closed on Shabbos and Yom Tov.

7. Using MyCheshbon fairly

Don’t misuse the service: no breaking in, overloading it, copying it, reselling it, or using it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Your data

Your budget is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run MyCheshbon for you, as described in the Privacy policy. You can download it or delete it at any time.

9. Our service

We work hard to keep MyCheshbon available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. There may be interruptions, maintenance or mistakes. We may change or improve features; if we remove something important you pay for, we’ll tell you first.

10. Limits of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as late fees, missed payments or lost profits) caused by using or not being able to use MyCheshbon, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

11. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms, after giving notice where reasonable.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make important changes, we’ll email you and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use MyCheshbon after that means you accept them.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If there’s a problem, please email us first; most things can be solved quickly. [CONFIRM DISPUTE RESOLUTION WITH LAWYER]
